- Wash and thoroughly dry the door panels. Pay particular attention to the waist line crease where the strip will sit — any wax residue or moisture will compromise adhesion.
- Use the included IPA prep wipe (or isopropyl alcohol) to clean the full length of the application area. Allow to dry completely — 2 to 3 minutes at room temperature.
- Dry-fit the strip against the door to confirm alignment before committing. The strip should follow the factory body crease naturally without forcing.
- Starting from one end, peel back approximately 10cm of the adhesive backing and press the strip firmly into position, working along the panel progressively — avoid pulling the strip taught, which can introduce flex stress.
- Once fully applied, run a soft cloth firmly along the entire strip to activate the adhesive bond evenly. Apply firm, consistent pressure for 30 seconds per section.
- Allow the adhesive to cure for a minimum of 24 hours before washing or exposing the vehicle to rain. Avoid using pressure washers directly over the strip edges for the first 72 hours.
⚠ Important: Install in ambient temperatures above 15°C (59°F) for optimal adhesive performance. Cold weather significantly reduces initial bond strength. If fitting in winter, warm the panel gently with a heat gun on a low setting before application. Always confirm panel fitment before removing the full adhesive backing.
