What You'll Need
Socket set, screwdrivers, fuel line disconnect tool, small pick, clean rags, fuel-safe cleaner. No lifting equipment required.
Installation Steps
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Open fuel filler cap to release pressure.
- Locate the fuel injector rail on top of the engine. Remove fuel line connectors (fuel-safe cleaner prevents spills).
- Unbolt the injector rail. Gently pull injectors from the cylinder head. Mark placement if needed.
- Using a small pick, carefully remove the old o-rings and seals. Clean the injector nozzles with a lint-free cloth.
- Install new viton o-rings and seals from this kit. Apply a thin film of fresh fuel to seals before installation.
- Reinstall injectors into the cylinder head. Secure the rail and reconnect fuel lines.
- Reconnect battery. Crank engine 3 times without starting to prime the fuel system. Start normally.
- Check for fuel leaks around all connections. Let idle for 30 seconds and recheck.
⚠️ Fuel is highly flammable. Work in a well-ventilated area, away from ignition sources. Wear nitrile gloves. If fuel spills, wipe immediately and allow surfaces to dry before testing. Never work on a hot engine.
