Installation Notes

Disconnect the battery negative terminal and allow the engine to cool for 30 minutes.

Remove the engine cover by unclipping fasteners and gently lifting clear.

Disconnect the electrical harness from the faulty throttle body by pressing the release tab and sliding backward.

Remove the intake plenum bolts (typically 4 × M8 fasteners). Keep fasteners in a labelled container.

Carefully lift the old throttle body clear, noting the gasket position and any vacuum hose connections.

Clean the intake plenum mounting surface with a soft cloth and IPA to remove carbon residue and old gasket material.

Install a new gasket (not included; recommend OEM reference GJ32-9D381-AA or equivalent) onto the plenum.

Position the new throttle body over the gasket and engage the mounting holes.

Insert and hand-tighten all bolts evenly, then torque to 10–12 N⋅m in a star pattern.

Reconnect the electrical harness until the clip seats firmly with an audible click.

Reconnect any vacuum hoses in their original positions (reference photos taken before removal).

Refit the engine cover and secure all clips.

Reconnect the battery and start the engine.

Allow the ECM to relearn idle parameters over 2–3 minutes of gentle running. Do not drive aggressively until the system has stabilised.
⚠️ Warning: Throttle body replacement requires care around live electrical components and hot engine surfaces. Always disconnect the battery and allow sufficient cool-down time. If you are not confident performing this work, have a qualified Land Rover technician complete the installation. Improper fitment can result in poor idle, limp-home mode, or DTC P0122 (throttle position sensor fault).
