- With the vehicle off and the interior at room temperature, identify the A/C and volume knob surrounds on the centre console of your Discovery 5.
- Use the included pre-application wipe (or an isopropyl alcohol wipe) to thoroughly clean the plastic surround surface, removing any dust, oils, or polish residue.
- Allow the surface to dry completely for 2–3 minutes before proceeding — adhesion quality depends on a clean, dry contact area.
- Carefully peel the protective backing from the adhesive pad on the rear of the knob ring cover, taking care not to contaminate the adhesive with fingerprints.
- Align the trim ring carefully over the knob surround, ensuring the profile sits flush before making contact — repositioning after adhesive contact is not recommended.
- Press firmly and evenly around the entire circumference of the ring for 30–60 seconds to ensure a full and secure bond.
- Repeat for the second knob ring cover. Allow 1–2 hours before normal use for the adhesive to fully cure.
⚠ Note: Ensure the interior temperature is above 10°C during application — cold surfaces reduce initial adhesive bond strength. Do not apply immediately after cleaning with silicone-based products. For European orders over €150 in declared value, import duties may apply and are the responsibility of the buyer.
