- Remove engine plastic covers and auxiliary serpentine belt.
- Unbolt crankshaft pulley using proper pulley holder and socket.
- Remove old oil seal with a seal puller or screwdriver (gentle lever method).
- Clean crankshaft nose with clean cloth; verify no debris or old seal material remains.
- Lightly coat new seal inner diameter with clean engine oil.
- Press new seal onto crankshaft nose using a seal driver tool or appropriately sized socket (do not tap directly on seal face).
