Installation Notes

Drain coolant: Remove radiator drain plug and catch waste fluid in approved container. Allow engine to cool completely before proceeding.

Remove accessories: Unbolt serpentine belt tensioner and move aside. Remove upper radiator hose if needed for clearance.

Unbolt old pump: Locate front-mounted water pump (typically 4–5 bolts). Remove fasteners and carefully withdraw pump to avoid coolant spillage.

Clean mounting surface: Wipe block face with lint-free cloth. Remove any old gasket material or sealant residue.

Install new pump: Align new unit with mounting holes. Install bolts in a star pattern and tighten to 20–25 Nm (15–18 ft-lb).

Reinstall accessories: Reposition serpentine belt and tensioner. Reconnect radiator hose; torque clamps firmly to prevent weeping.

Refill coolant: Pour approved coolant (50:50 mix with distilled water) into radiator until full. Bleed air by running engine at 1,200 rpm for 5 minutes with heater on high.
