Installation Guide
Valve Replacement – Professional Work Recommended
Difficulty: Advanced | Time: 8–12 hours | Tools: Full engine bay access, valve spring compressor, torque wrench, gasket set
- Remove intake manifold and exhaust manifolds from cylinder head
- Disconnect all hoses, wiring, and coolant lines feeding the cylinder head
- Unbolt and carefully lift the cylinder head from the engine block
- Mount head on work stand and secure with soft clamps
- Compress valve springs with dedicated tool and remove split collets
- Extract old intake and exhaust valves, inspect guides for wear
- Clean valve seats with carbide cutter; lap valves if required by inspection
- Install new intake valves first, then exhaust valves, replacing seals
- Reinstall spring keepers, retainers, and springs to factory torque spec
- Reinstall cylinder head with new gasket set and torque in cross pattern
- Reconnect all hoses, wiring, and coolant lines; bleed cooling system
- Run at 1500rpm for 5 minutes to seat valves, then cool and check torque
