Installation Overview
Difficulty Level: Advanced (Engine Removal Required)
Time Required: 6–10 hours (with experienced technician)
- Remove engine from vehicle and secure on engine stand
- Remove cylinder head and drain oil completely
- Unbolt connecting rods and remove old pistons carefully
- Clean cylinder bores and hone to proper finish (if oversize)
- Install new pistons with rings; match rod orientation
- Torque connecting rod bolts to OEM spec (typically 65–75 Nm, verify in documentation)
- Reinstall cylinder head; torque to OEM sequence and spec
- Prime engine with clean oil before starting
- Reinstall engine and refill with OEM-spec 5W-30 synthetic oil
- Run idle cycle; check for leaks and proper compression
