Inner Steering Tie Rod End Set – Range Rover Evoque L538

OEM-spec front tie rod ends with ball joints for precise steering and confident handling.

Range Rover Evoque L538 2012–2020 Metal Construction Left + Right Pair Direct Fit

Overview

The Range Rover Evoque L538 (2012–2020) demands steering components that can handle both urban precision and genuine off-road challenges. Worn tie rod ends compromise steering response, introduce play in the front axle assembly, and eventually lead to uneven tyre wear and premature suspension damage.

This OEM-specification tie rod end set delivers the exact geometry and material specification your Evoque factory steering system expects. Each end is fitted with a ball joint tuned for the L538's independent double-wishbone front suspension geometry, ensuring predictable steering feel and aligned tracking. The pair covers both left and right front positions, making this a complete solution.

Partsmost delivers aftermarket steering components engineered to match Land Rover technical specifications. Installation takes under two hours with basic suspension knowledge—a straightforward job that transforms steering confidence immediately.

Installation

Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 1.5–2 hours

  1. Lift and secure the vehicle on axle stands at the front end. Remove the wheel.
  2. Unbolt the tie rod end from the steering knuckle (ball joint nut). Use a ball joint separator tool to safely disconnect the taper.
  3. Unscrew the old tie rod from the trackrod assembly. Count rotation turns to aid reinstallation geometry.
  4. Thread the new tie rod end onto the trackrod, matching the previous thread count to preserve wheel alignment.
  5. Insert the ball joint stud into the steering knuckle and torque the nut to 40–50 Nm (check your Haynes manual for exact spec).
  6. Reconnect the wheel and lower the vehicle.
  7. Visit a wheel alignment centre to re-set toe-in and camber. Steering feel depends on accurate alignment.
⚠ Important: Do not re-use the old ball joint nut if it has been removed. Always use a fresh self-locking nut. Incorrect torque or omitted alignment check will result in tyre wear and poor steering feedback.

Ready to Restore Steering Precision

Worn tie rod ends are one of the quickest wins in suspension maintenance. Steering tightens immediately, tracking holds true, and tyre life extends. This OEM-spec pair takes the guesswork out of parts selection.
