Installation Notes
Difficulty: Easy · Estimated Time: 30–60 Minutes · Tools Required: T20 Torx, Trim Removal Tool
- Open the tailgate and locate the trim panel covering the inner tail light mounting points on each side of the load bay.
- Using a trim removal tool, carefully prise away the inner boot trim panel to expose the rear light securing bolts or clips.
- Using a T20 Torx driver, remove the retaining fasteners holding the tail light assembly to the body.
- Gently pull the light assembly rearward away from the body panel. Avoid forcing — some adhesive sealant may be present on older units.
- Disconnect the wiring loom connector from the back of the existing assembly. Note the connector orientation.
- Connect the wiring loom to the new light assembly and confirm the connector clicks securely into place.
- Position the new assembly into the aperture, ensuring the alignment tabs locate correctly, then re-secure the fasteners.
- Refit the boot trim panel and test all light functions — brake, indicator, reverse and fog — before driving.
