- Begin with the vehicle at rest and the interior at room temperature — avoid fitting in direct sunlight or cold conditions where the adhesive may not bond correctly.
- Identify the centre console air outlet surround on your Defender 110. This sits centrally between the front seats, framing the horizontal vent array.
- Thoroughly clean the factory plastic surface using an isopropyl alcohol wipe or panel prep solution. Remove all dust, oils, and residue. Allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit the carbon fibre frame without removing the adhesive backing to confirm alignment and positioning. Note any reference points.
- Peel the adhesive backing and carefully position the trim, pressing firmly from the centre outward to eliminate air pockets. Apply sustained pressure for 30–60 seconds across the full surface.
