Installation Notes

- Open the tailgate and locate the access panel or trim covering the tail light mounting area on each side.
- Remove the retaining nuts or bolts securing the original tail light unit — typically 2–3 fixings per side.
- Carefully pull the OE tail light assembly away from the body, taking care not to stress the wiring loom.
- Disconnect the OE wiring connector from the back of the original unit — note the orientation before removal.
- Connect the new smoked LED tail light unit to the factory wiring connector — it should click securely into place.
- Position the new unit against the body, aligning with the OE mounting points, and secure with the original fixings.
- Repeat for the opposite side, then test all light functions — running, brake, and indicator — before reassembling trim panels.
Important: Always disconnect the vehicle battery before working with electrical components. If your vehicle is under warranty, consult your dealership before making modifications. Some 2014–2017 pre-facelift vehicles may require a resistor or coding adaptation to prevent indicator hyper-flash — test all functions before finalising installation.
