- Begin with a clean, dry cabin. Ensure the rear AC vent housing surfaces are free of dust, grease, or moisture — a quick wipe with an isopropyl alcohol cloth is ideal.
- Dry-fit each trim piece over the corresponding vent surround to confirm alignment before committing. The left and right pieces are shaped differently — test both positions first.
- Peel the backing from the pre-applied double-sided adhesive on the reverse of each trim cover.
- Starting from one edge, press the trim firmly into position over the vent housing, working across the surface to eliminate any air gaps.
- Apply firm, even pressure for 30–60 seconds across the full face of each piece to ensure full adhesive contact.
- Allow 30 minutes before exposing the trim to direct airflow or sunlight to allow the bond to fully cure.
Note: Avoid installation in temperatures below 10°C, as cold conditions can reduce initial adhesive performance. If fitting in a garage, allow the vehicle and trim pieces to reach room temperature before starting.
