Drain Cooling System: Remove radiator cap and open lower drain plug. Allow full coolant evacuation into a clean container for reuse.

Locate Connection Points: Identify throttle body outlet (driver side, upper engine bay) and thermostat housing (below intake manifold) using your owner's manual diagram.

Remove Old Hoses: Loosen hose clamps with an adjustable wrench. Gently twist and pull each hose free. Wipe connection points clean.

Inspect Fittings: Check all metal connectors for corrosion or damage. Replace any corroded clamps with OEM-spec stainless clamps.

Install New Throttle Body Hose (LR045238): Slide hose over throttle body outlet barb until fully seated. Position hose away from exhaust manifold. Tighten clamp to 18–22 Nm.

Install New Thermostat Pipe (LR049989): Route pipe to thermostat housing connector. Ensure no kinks or sharp bends. Secure with OEM clamps, torque to 18–22 Nm.

Refill Coolant System: Use Land Rover approved coolant (50/50 mix). Top radiator to correct level. Bleed air pockets by running engine at idle for 5 minutes with heater on.

Pressure Test: Allow engine to cool. Check clamps and connections for weeping. Verify thermostat response by feel at upper radiator hose after 10-minute warm-up.
Important: Never remove coolant system components while engine is hot. Allow minimum 30-minute cool-down. Dispose of old coolant responsibly at an approved recycling centre. Do not refill with water alone; use only Land Rover Genuine Coolant or approved equivalent.
