Installation Notes
Difficulty Level: Intermediate | Time: 45–90 minutes (per side)
- Raise vehicle on ramps or jack stands; secure with chocks.
- Remove rear wheel on target side (RH or LH).
- Locate brake actuator motor mounted on brake caliper backplate.
- Disconnect electrical connector – note wire positions or photograph for reference.
- Remove mounting bolts securing actuator to caliper assembly.
- Withdraw old actuator unit carefully; inspect connector for corrosion.
- Clean connector pins with contact cleaner; allow to dry fully.
- Position new actuator unit and align mounting holes precisely.
- Install and torque mounting bolts to 15–18 Nm (spec varies by model).
- Reconnect electrical harness – green wire to positive, black to ground.
- Reinstall wheel and torque lug nuts to 140 Nm (Range Rover) or 110 Nm (Jaguar).
- Lower vehicle and run parking brake engagement/disengagement cycle three times to prime motor.
- Clear any diagnostic codes via OBD scanner if warning lights persist.
