Remove old housing: Unbolt the assembly from the engine block (typically 4–6 bolts, M8–M10). Discard old rubber seals if present.

Install new housing: Position the new OEM assembly and hand-thread bolts first. Torque to 25–30 Nm in a star pattern to avoid warping.

Reconnect water lines: Push inlet and outlet hoses onto their respective ports. Secure hose clamps hand-tight, then tighten ¼ turn more using a hose-clamp screwdriver.

Refill and bleed: Add fresh coolant (Jaguar/Land Rover spec) to the radiator. Start engine and allow 5–10 minutes for air purge. Watch for leaks at all connection points.

Check temperature gauge: Let the engine idle for 10 minutes. Verify no warning lights and normal thermostat operation at the dashboard.
