Installation Notes
Difficulty: Easy · Estimated Time: 30–60 Minutes · No Special Tools Required
- Open the bonnet and locate the upper grille retention clips along the top edge of the bumper assembly.
- Using a trim removal tool or flat-head screwdriver, carefully release the clips working from one side to the other — avoid forcing them to prevent bumper scuffs.
- Disconnect any wiring attached to the factory grille (if applicable — typically adaptive cruise sensor looms on certain trims).
- Remove the OEM grille fully and transfer your existing Range Rover badge from the original unit to the new grille.
- Align the new black grille into position, ensuring all apertures line up with the bumper surround correctly.
- Press the retention clips firmly into place, working from the centre outward until all clips are fully seated and the grille is secure.
- Reconnect any wiring looms disconnected in step 3, then close the bonnet and inspect the panel gaps from the front.
Please Note: Always confirm your exact model year and facelift specification before ordering. The 2018 facelift introduced a revised front bumper design — pre-facelift L494 models use a different grille profile and this unit will not fit.
