- Open and support the existing factory bonnet safely using the bonnet stay. Disconnect any washer jet hoses or wiring loom clips attached to the underside of the OEM bonnet.
- With an assistant, support the bonnet and remove the factory hinge bolts (typically 4 bolts per side). Carefully lift the OEM bonnet clear of the vehicle and set aside.
- Dry-fit the carbon fibre bonnet to the hinge points. Do not fully tighten at this stage — allow for adjustment. Check panel gaps at the front edge, wings, and scuttle panel.
- Once satisfactory alignment is achieved, torque the hinge bolts to factory specification. Reconnect all washer jet hoses and wiring clips if applicable to your variant.
- Adjust the bonnet bump stops and bonnet catch striker plate as needed to achieve flush, even closure. Test the bonnet latch mechanism multiple times before driving.
- Inspect the lacquer finish for any transit marks and treat with a suitable automotive detailing spray before first use.
