Overview
The Range Rover family — from the full-size Vogue L405 to the Sport L494, Velar, and Evoque — sits high on purpose. That ride height is part of what makes these vehicles so commanding on road and off, but it can make daily boarding less than graceful for passengers. Factory side steps were never offered across most of these generations, and static aftermarket boards compromise the clean sill lines that define these designs.
These deployable electric side steps solve both problems. Triggered by the door latch signal, they extend automatically when any door opens and retract tight to the undercarriage the moment the door closes — completely hidden from view when not in use. The result is a step that appears exactly when it's needed and disappears entirely when it isn't, maintaining the original profile of the vehicle without compromise.
Built from extruded aluminium alloy with anti-corrosion stainless steel plating and a non-slip tread surface, these steps are engineered to the same durability standards expected of the vehicles they serve. With an 800 kg load rating, a robust motor assembly, and certification to ISO9001 and TS16949, this is not an accessory built to the lowest acceptable specification — it's one built to last the life of the vehicle.

Installation Notes
Difficulty: Intermediate · Estimated Time: 3–5 Hours · Two People Recommended
- Safely raise and support the vehicle on axle stands. Do not work under a vehicle supported only by a jack.
- Remove any existing sill trim or protective covers to expose the mounting points beneath the door sills.
- Trial-fit the metal support brackets to confirm alignment with factory mounting locations before final torquing.
- Mount the motor assembly to the bracket arms, ensuring the step board travel path is clear of obstructions.
- Route the wiring loom through the vehicle's undercarriage, keeping it clear of exhaust and moving components. Secure with supplied cable ties.
- Connect the wiring loom to the door trigger signal — typically tapped from the door latch switch or interior light circuit. Consult wiring diagrams for your specific model year.
- Power on the vehicle and test deploy/retract cycles through all doors before lowering the vehicle.
- Refit sill trim and conduct a final visual inspection for clearance and secure fitment.
⚠ Note: Professional installation by a qualified automotive electrician or 4x4 specialist is strongly recommended. Incorrect wiring connections may trigger fault codes or affect door module functionality. Always disconnect the battery negative terminal before working on electrical circuits.
