Installation Notes
Difficulty: Moderate · Estimated Time: 60–120 minutes · Recommended: 2 persons
- Open the factory bonnet fully and support it securely. Disconnect any bonnet-mounted wiring looms or washer jet pipes and set aside safely.
- With an assistant supporting the bonnet panel, remove the factory hinge bolts on both sides. Carefully lift the OEM bonnet clear of the vehicle and place on a padded surface.
- Offer up the carbon fibre bonnet to the hinge brackets. Loosely thread all hinge bolts by hand before applying any torque — this allows alignment adjustment.
- Close the bonnet gently to check panel gaps against the front wings, grille surround and headlamp housings. Adjust hinge positions as required to achieve an even, consistent gap on all sides.
- Once satisfied with alignment, torque all hinge bolts to the manufacturer's specified setting. Reconnect any washer jets or wiring previously disconnected.
- Perform a final gap and flush check, then apply a quality carbon fibre sealant or ceramic coating to protect the clear lacquer finish long-term.
Important Note: This product is hand-crafted from real carbon fibre. Minor surface variations, slight weave irregularities or micro imperfections in the clear lacquer are inherent to the hand-lay manufacturing process and are not considered defects. If you require a flawless show-car finish, professional detailing or a final polish after fitting is recommended. Always have a second person assist when removing and fitting large body panels to avoid damage.
