- Park the Defender on a level surface and allow the exterior panels to reach ambient temperature — avoid installation in direct sunlight or cold conditions below 10°C.
- Thoroughly clean both front windshield pillar surfaces using an isopropyl alcohol (IPA) wipe or panel preparation solution. Remove all wax, grease, dust, and moisture completely.
- Allow the cleaned surface to dry fully for at least 5 minutes before proceeding.
- Dry-fit each trim panel against the corresponding pillar — left side first — to confirm alignment and positioning before committing to adhesion.
- Peel back a small section of the adhesive backing tape, align the top edge of the panel with the pillar, and press firmly into position from top to bottom, smoothing out as you go.
- Apply firm, even pressure across the entire panel surface for 30–60 seconds to activate the adhesive bond. Repeat on the opposite side.
- Allow the adhesive to cure undisturbed for a minimum of 24 hours before washing the vehicle or exposing the trim to heavy rain.
⚠ Important: Do not attempt to reposition the panels once the adhesive has made full contact with the surface. Ensure the application area is completely clean and dry — any contamination will significantly reduce bond strength and long-term durability.
