- Remove the lower front bumper trim panel to access the grille cavity. Retain all OEM clips and fixings for reassembly.
- Identify the lower grille mounting points or mesh cutout zone where the light bar will sit. Test-fit the bar before committing to any brackets.
- Secure the light bar using the supplied stainless hardware. If your grille variant requires additional support, fabricate or source Defender-specific bracket extensions as needed.
- Route the wiring harness up through the bumper cavity and through the firewall, keeping clear of heat sources and moving components. Use existing grommets where possible.
- Connect to your chosen power source — ignition feed, DRL circuit, or a fused direct line — following the relay wiring diagram included with the harness.
- Mount the interior switch in a suitable dash location. Test all connections before finalising cable management with OEM-grade loom tape or conduit.
- Refit all trim panels, confirm all clips are seated, and perform a full function test in a controlled environment before any trail or road use.
⚠ Important: Depending on your specific grille variant or trim configuration, minor bracket modification or custom fabrication may be required. Professional installation is strongly recommended to ensure correct waterproofing of all connectors and proper integration with your Defender's electrical system.
