Installation Notes
Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 1.5–2.5 hours

Drain coolant system – Allow engine to cool completely. Position drain pan under radiator petcock. Open coolant drain and lower radiator hose.

Remove components blocking access – Depending on engine bay layout, you may need to remove upper radiator hose clamps, thermostat cover bolts, or intake ducting.

Disconnect hose from water outlet tube – Slide clamp off connection point. Note hose orientation for reassembly.

Unbolt old tube – Remove 2–3 bolts securing tube to engine block. Inspect gasket or O-ring condition; discard and replace if damaged.

Install new tube – Align with bolt holes. Insert new gasket/O-ring if supplied. Hand-thread bolts first, then torque to 25 Nm (18 ft-lb) in sequence.

Reconnect hose and clamp – Slide upper radiator or heater hose onto new outlet tube. Secure with hose clamp. Do not overtighten.

Refill coolant system – Use OEM-spec coolant (Jaguar/Land Rover approved). Fill radiator, overflow tank, and bleed air from system per owner's manual.

Test circulation – Run engine at idle with heater set to maximum. Check for leaks. Allow 5–10 minutes for thermostat opening before road test.
