Disconnect battery negative terminal to prevent accidental electrical contact with the sensor harness.

Allow engine to cool completely — coolant is under pressure and extremely hot. Wait at least 2 hours.

Remove plastic under-tray (if equipped) to access the tank mounting bolts and hose connections.

Unclip the overflow hose from the old tank and note the position of the temperature sensor connector.

Remove three mounting bolts (typically M8) securing the tank to the frame.

Lift and disconnect the sensor harness — release the retaining clip gently.

Install new tank in reverse order — ensure hoses are seated fully and bolts are hand-tight before torquing to 15–20 Nm.

Reconnect sensor harness until you hear the click.

Install the lid (LR000243) and hand-tighten the cap.

Refill with OEM-spec coolant (typically Pentosin or equivalent) to the "cold" line.

Start engine and monitor temperature for 10 minutes — no leaks or warning lights should appear.

Reconnect battery and clear any fault codes if the check engine light appears.
